For my memory ~ mostly...

This is what Blake said as he offered our family prayer tonight:

"... I'm so thankful that nobody was hurt in our car accident* today and we were all wearing our seat belts and that our baby's umbilical cord didn't break because we are all so excited to have a new baby in our family. I'm thankful for mommy and that she is a hard worker and a really good baby builder...."

*I rear-ended a lady who insisted on NOT exchanging any information and was not driving her own car. "Her" car had some scratches that could have been from me, but no damage otherwise and a major blessing.

Our Trip to Disneyland!

Father's and Sons...

This last month Jake took Blake on the Father's and Sons camp out. They left on Thursday so that they could camp for 2 nights instead of just one. From all of their stories, it sounded like they were gone for at least a week! They were up on the rim by Bear Canyon Lake and it ended up being super cold! It got into the twenties both nights. I think that's why it's not Mom and Sons camping. I would have packed up and came home- and I even LIKE camping! They went on a hike to the lake, found a really big tree that had fallen over, and did lots of adventuring that is top secret and only for dads and their sons to know about ;) We girls missed them a lot but we did some fun things to keep ourselves busy. And when the boys got home, Sarah surprised daddy by wearing this shirt...

It was a great way to surprise him, but I thought it would take him a lot longer to notice! Within 3 minutes of getting out of the car? C'mon, where's the fun?

Finishing up April:

You know when you haven't posted in a (very) long time and the longer you wait, the harder it is to talk yourself into it because there's more and more that you need to post about? Well, I'm about 3 weeks PAST that point in my life so I'm just going to get it over with.

My lovely Mother turned the big 60 at the end of April and we threw the kind of party that any granny with 35 grand kids would want....inflatable bouncers, ice cream, slip and slide and all.

If you look closely, you can see my mom's arms sticking up. This one was a water slide! We basically played the entire day and had a BBQ in her yard that evening.

Her cake said 16 on it because she's been turning 16 every year as long as I can remember.

Sarah was exhausted from all of the bouncing and ended up taking a nap in the special "babies only" bouncer. We also decided to try out Tumbleweed Park (thanks, Kyle) because we had heard it was a lot of fun. When we finally got there, it did not disappoint. I went with my sister and her 5 kids on April break(?). It was good we had the whole day because we were half-way to Tucson! However, the kids all had a great time on all the fun play equipment in the SHADE! What a novel idea for Arizona! We even took our bikes and scooters, muffins, juice and blankets. While we were there, Sarah took a hard fall on the VERY steep triple slide.

I thought she split her eye, but she ended up being okay. This is what Blake wants for his birthday next month...

While we were there, he learned how to ride a skateboard,

thanks to his very cool (and patient) older cousins, Layton and Jace.

He also had a few spills...

Raegan was just in heaven with all of the climbing and running.

It was a very fun day full of energy and I had very tired kids when we got home!

Groundhog's Day...

Ever feel like you wake up every morning and it's still the same day?

It's been that way around here for about 5 days now...stuck on Thursday!

Yay for Thursdays!

Better Thursday than any other day of the week.

For a while it was stuck on Tuesday and that's no good for anyone....

Raegan Paige...

Our beautiful 'Goosie-girl' turned 4 years old this week! I can hardly believe that it's already been 4 years since we brought her home from the hospital. I took her to her well check on Wednesday and she's in the 50th percentile for height and 10th percentile for weight.

When did she grow up?On Tuesday, Jake took the day off of work and Blake stayed home from school. We started out by going to IHOP because she LOVES pancakes almost more than anything else in this world. Luckily, they had these very 'birthday looking' pancakes that they were featuring because of Horton Hears a Who. Don't they just scream Dr. Seuss?After breakfast we went to the zoo to play in the fountains.

It ended up being the perfect day to be there and we could have stayed all day!

The zoo was virtually empty and the weather was in the mid 80's.

That night she had a t-ball game and she is really starting to love it!

I don't even have to run with her to 1st base anymore.

I love that she's getting way more comfortable with it.

We had a great party for her today where everyone got to wear their princess dresses (or prince costumes). Raegan really wanted it to be a 12 dancing princesses party. We did a pinata,

made magic wands and air planes (for the princes) and threw them off the roof,

had star-shaped sandwiches, and cake and ice cream!

Exactly like the dress in the movie! (I dare you to compare them!) It was more fun than I thought it would be and totally worth the smile on Raegan's face and the sparkle in her eyes! We love you, beautiful girl!
